Back at Maelgwn's court Elphin is still prisonerd and Taliesin pays a visit to prove the the second part of Maelgwns boasting to be wrong. The bards of gwynedd are lined up and prepare to take their turn to recite but as they pass Taliesin he cunjures a spell resultng in garbled sounds to come from their mouths. Taliesin consequently stands up and recites the most wonderful poetry possible once again proving Maelgwn to be wrong. He also whips up the force of nature into an almighty strom and frees the rince Elphin's shackles releasing him from his inprisonment.
